The Champion extreme roads project brought us to several of the most famous passes in the French, Swiss and Italian Alps for photographic and film shooting. When we decided to broaden the Champion brand domain with this concept the question quickly arose as to where we could find such roads in Europe. We were lucky for five of the top 20 most stunning and extreme roads in the world are located in Europe.

Declared one of the best driving roads in Europe by the magazine Top Gear, the Stelvio pass in Italy is one of them. It's a string of hairpin bends going up and down the mountains. It's become a bit of a motoring mecca, and a place that every motor head needs to see in their lifetime. This was the perfect location to demonstrate the performance of the Champion lubricants.

Finding the right balance in the photo was not an easy task. The result we were looking for was the tension and the extreme pressure on the engine. So the road was the main subject, not the landscape or the car.
